This week I just finished up all the projects for my friends' baby shower. So I'm not going to post any pictures today, because you've seen them already. but I will share some exciting information with you.
This morning I was surfing the net and stumbled upon a program called "Make the cut". It is a program similar to "Sure-Cuts-Alot". Both of these programs will allow you to cut out images on the "Cricut" without using a cartridge. There was a demo download for the "Make a cut", so I just started playing around with it. There is a huge library of shapes and fonts that can be cut with this program. Say goodbye to the expensive Cricut cartridges. The one thing that I didn't like is you needed to use the exact phrase to search through the images. For example. I typed in "Disney" and nothing came up. But when I was randomly looking through the images, there were pictures of "Nemo" and "Cinderella". So it wasn't exactly user friendly. I still have to play with it some more before I decide whether or not it is worth it.
I was also sent an ad from PaperCraftingPro.com. They said there was a 48 hour sale on Cricut cartridges for $15 and really cheap prices on the Bind-It-All and other scrapbooking tools. When I visisted the site, I was disappointed. None of the prices were listed. It is a wholesale retailer. You have to pay $9.95 a month to use the services. I'm kinda of leary and skeptical about things like this on the internet, so I didn't sign up for it. You may find the information more useful, that's why I'm passing it on to you.
About the coolest scrapbook stuff I found today was the Scrapbook Hall of Fame. It was on a different blog, and I just followed the link. Basically, anyone can submit their favorite blog and it ranks your website/blog on there and supposedly it directs traffic to your site. So I tried it. I was surprised it put me at #29. I thought I was going to be at the bottom of the list. If you have your own blog, you may want to consider adding this button to your site. They update the list monthly, so you never know if you are going to be at the top of the list. You can access this page by hitting the "Scrapbook Hall of Fame" button the right side of my blog where the blog links are.
Hope you found this information useful. I'll be back with pictures next time. Have a great weekend.
