I have been trying to design a curriculum to teach the basics of using the Cricut and another course on how to make different vinyl projects. I'm going to have to have some type of handout to give to the ladies at the Ever After store to show them that I'm serious. I came up with a powerpoint for the Cricut Basic 101 class. In September, I will meet with the Escondido Community Center to be an instructor there in the Spring. I'm thinking it will be a 4 week class.
I recently e-mailed the women's director at Emmanuel Faith Community Church about whether or not they would consider having a craft show in November. She said no because the focus was on single moms. I e-mailed her back with reasons how this opportunity could benefit the single moms in our church and she liked my ideas. So I will meet with her this Thursday and I will be trying to pull this craft show together in a few short months. To help me, I sent out a questionarrie to my vendor friends and I think I will be better prepared of what needs to happen at one of these shows. I already made up a draft of a vendor application, a flyer for the vendors, and flyers that will be handed out the week before the event and during the event. I'm nervous about this, but it will be a good learning experience. Maybe I will become an event coordinator after this...who knows. The funds we raise will be used to purchase grocery/store gift cards for the single moms. It will be good for them because it will help them out just in time for the holidays.
I have to get ready. Enjoy the pictures. They are the finished products of the jungle themed birthday party that a customer ordered a couple of weeks ago. Have a blessed week.
