I ended up canelling the show with the Humane Society and also one with the local Farmer's Market---but family comes first. I haven't done much crafting over the past couple of weeks. I did make a Get Well Soon sign and a "Welcome Home" sign for my mom. It was was hard to make both signs, because I wasn't sure if she was going to come home at the time I made them. I was balling and praying most of the time I was gluing it together. I didn't even bother taking any pictures of the signs. Her smile when she first came home is forever etched on my mind.
This morning I started working a on new word book. I'll post it up when I'm finished. It says "Survivor" on it. I think I'm going to give that to my mom for Mother's Day. She's been through so much and has taught me so much in how to live, survive, and thrive in adversity that it seems appropriate for a mother's day sentiment. I also got to start cranking out Mother's day cards, gifts, and get ready for some other shows. It seems like I've been out of it for so long, it is going to be hard to get back into the swing of things.
I hope and pray things are going well in your neck of the woods. Remeber to give your loved ones a hug and tell them you love them. Life is fragile, handle with care!!!
