My house is a total mess too. I've been trying to figure out a good way to display all of the stuff I had to sell. I had no idea I had so much stuff until I started setting everything out on a table. I've been playing around with different table cloths, arrangements, and how to store are display prices for everything. Below are some of the pictures of my attempts to arrange and re-arrange all the stuff I have to sell. I had no idea how much stuff I actually had until I set it all out in some kind of order. It didn't even take this much space to store everything. Below is the table arrangement I liked the best and some close ups. It still looks crowded, but this is better than my other 5 attempts. Enjoy looking and getting ideas for yourself.
This past week has been crazy. There are so many meetings with parents at the school, so many phone calls with the car insurance company, I still have to try to set up for the craft show in a couple of weeks, and then the emotional rollercoaster of losing our family frined. I'm so sorry for not posting more often, but my schedule has been out of control this past week. I really would rather be scrapbooking and spending more time here. The good news is that we found a car for my husband to replace the one that got wrecked and I'm almost ready for the craft show.

Yesterday one of my family's dear long time friend passed away. He was only 55 years old, but our family had known him for the last 36 years. His kids grew up with us. As kids we would go fishing and camping all the time. As my parents got older, he would come over to play poker with my dad and his friends. As I write this I can still hear is laugh and remeber all the stories him and my dad used to re-tell over and over. It's hard writing about this (tears are rolling down my face), but at the same time it is helping me to remember what an impact this gentleman played in my history.
To help me get through this time, I sat down and made a sympathy card. I never made one before...never wanted to. What words can you really say to ease the pain of watching a loved one fade into memories of the past. It was therapuetic for me. I put a lot more details than usual on it and prayed for his family as I made the card. I'm not sure if I did it right or not, but I guess that doesn't matter...it's the thought that counts. I hope I don't have to make another one of these cards again for awhile. |
